Meet Yewon Kim
B.A. in English, M.T. in English Education
Yewon understands the challenges of the modern educational experience. She is a first-generation college graduate, and a first-generation immigrant from South Korea. Yewon earned her B.A. from the University of Virginia, accelerating the completion of her degree in three years. She then pursued her Master's in Teaching at UVA. Her thesis measured the success of literacy in students with executive functioning difficulties through individualized organizational supports. Yewon currently works with students at some of the most competitive middle and high schools in NYC, and has her students have had success with college admissions to institutions like Colby College, Georgetown University, UChicago, and Columbia University.
My Services
High School Entrance
I create personalized programs for students in NYC preparing for their high school entrance exams, ensuring they are well-equipped to apply to the most competitive schools. I provide personalized support for the ISEE, SHSAT, and personal statement writing, Some of Yewon's students currently attend Hunter College High School, Grace Church High School, and Poly Prep Day School.

Executive Functioning
I specialize in coaching middle and high school students to navigate their executive functioning skills. As a dedicated liaison between schools, therapists, and neuropsychiatric professionals, I provide tailored feedback and strategies to ensure each student receives the best possible support. Through language and mathematical support, my goal is to empower students to develop the skills they need for academic and personal growth.
College Counseling
I guide high school students through the essential processes of essay writing, resume building, and college counseling. My goal is to empower students to present their best selves and secure admission to the top schools that align with their aspirations. Together, we will navigate the application journey, ensuring each student feels confident and prepared for their future.
